Nucleus Colony (NUC) – Pickup June 11, 2024

We are now accepting Early Bird orders for June 11, 2024 Nucleus Colonies pickup!

Your NUC will come with 4 frames.

This includes:

• 1 Frame Honey
• 2-3 Frames Brood
• Approximately 10,000 bees

All NUCS are available for PICKUP ONLY at our farm in Niagara-on-the-Lake, between the hours of 9:00am – 5:00pm. There is a maximum of 10 pickups per date, so act soon!

Upon pickup, you will be required to show your confirmation of purchase. We ask that you please bring a copy of your receipt with you for pickup. Please note: all NUC orders are NON-REFUNDABLE.

We hope to have the NUCS available earlier but please select the date you will be picking up your NUC and get your reservation in early to reserve your spot in line. If we are able to fulfill your order earlier- you will get a call and email from us.

This is the date you will show up to get your NUC. If you do not show up on the date you select, your NUC will be given to next in line and you will have to wait until next available date for pickup.

Some things to keep in mind when you pick up your bees:

• Transportation: The bees will be ready/sealed for pickup/transportation. Keep NUC boxes parallel with your vehicle. You do not want the frames to hit each other with the stop and go.
• NUCS are always prepared day of to reduce any and/or all issues. Therefore, we’re not responsible for bees/Queens that get overheated once they leave our care.
• The Queen will be in their own Queen cage with some worker bees, and someone will go over how to place it when you arrive to pick up.
• The bees we sell are strong and need the room when you get them. Therefore, you should have your hives set up as soon as you get them to your location. Wait 15-30 mins before opening as they are most likely agitated from the ride.
• It’s recommended to feed NUCS especially if they are being installed on un-drawn foundation.
• Please return NUC boxes at your earliest convenience.
