The Queen Rearing and Breeding Class is recommended for individuals who have already completed the Advanced Class and feel comfortable with the terminology and equipment required for beekeeping. Beekeepers may want to rear their own queens. Rearing refers to raising and producing queens, while breeding refers to testing, evaluating, and selecting bee stock with desirable genetic traits.Â
